Will the logo break the QR code?

Accepted Answer

No, as long as it's not too big. We use error correction level H, which can recover up to 30% of obscured modules — we cap the logo carve at about 22% of the matrix area to stay well inside the safe zone. Test scan from a phone before printing at scale.

What's the difference between PNG and SVG?

Accepted Answer

PNG is a raster image — pick your size up front (256/512/1024/2048 px). Best for digital use (slides, social, email) where you know the final size. SVG is vector — infinite scale with no quality loss, smaller file size for simple QR. Best for print where you want to scale freely (yard signs, posters, business cards). Both are free.

Are these QR codes static or dynamic?

Static — the URL or content is encoded directly into the matrix. Pros: works forever, no third-party dependency, no tracking, no monthly fee. Cons: if you change the destination URL, you have to regenerate and reprint the QR. For most small-business use cases (menu, contact, wifi), static is the right choice.

Do you store anything?

No. The encoder runs entirely in your browser — your URL / Wi-Fi password / vCard never leaves your device. The download is your browser saving the canvas locally to a file.

Yes. No account, no credit card, no API call. The whole tool is plain JavaScript + a small open-source QR encoding library — runs in your browser, free forever. We make money when you ship a Lokuma site, not from this tool.
